In brief
AWS’s update adds a Predictions category to Amplify Framework, making it easier to integrate AI and machine learning services into mobile and web applications. These services support image and document recognition, text-to-speech, speech transcription, translation and analysis of unstructured text.
Amplify Framework adds a Predictions category, enabling developers to quickly add AWS machine learning services to their applications
AWS has updated Amplify Framework, its development framework for mobile and web applications, with a new Predictions category that makes it easier for developers to add machine learning capabilities to their applications. Amplify Framework provides a range of easy-to-use JavaScript libraries, user interface components and CLI tools that enable developers to configure mobile backends and build iOS, Android, web and React Native applications。
The libraries let developers connect applications to various cloud services with just a few lines of code. Ready-to-use user interface components make it easy to configure visual elements such as theme colours and fonts, speeding up application development. Amplify Framework also offers a powerful toolchain for creating and maintaining serverless backends.
AWS has now added a Predictions category to Amplify Framework, making it easier for developers to integrate AWS cloud services into mobile or web applications and add artificial intelligence and machine learning capabilities. For example, developers can use Amazon Rekognition to identify text, entities and labels in images, or Amazon Textract to recognise text and the contents of table fields in documents.
By integrating Amazon Polly or Amazon Transcribe, developers can add capabilities that read text aloud in a human voice or transcribe speech into text. They can also use Amazon Translate to translate text into different languages. In addition, the natural language processing service Amazon Comprehend can analyse the meaning contained in unstructured text.
AWS provides instructions for using Amplify Framework, and developers can also submit feedback on GitHub.
